Welcome to
the Old George Inn, a 17th century coaching inn set in the idyllic
Cotswolds countryside, in the small village of South Cerney
near Cirencester.
The Old George Inn is at the very heart of
the Cotswold Water Park set amongst acres of lakes and nature
reserves. Cirencester is only a stone's throw away and if you
fancy a bit of retail therapy, Cheltenham is just 20 miles with
the Outlet Designer Village at Swindon only 12 miles away.
South Cerney, twice winner of the Bledisloe
Cup for best kept village, boasts a 1000 year old history dating
back to a Saxon charter in 999ad.
Popular, well kept cask ales include Bombardier, Otter Bitter and Cotswold Spring 'Codger' and our range of draught ciders include Stowford Press, Strongbow, Pheasant Plucker and Apples & Pears along with bottled Magners and Magners Pear.
Saraan has been the licensee of the
Old George Inn for over six years and in that time she has
developed a warm, friendly pub and restaurant where families
of all ages can enjoy themselves in happy and comfortable surroundings.
If you're looking for something to wile away
the time why not try a round of golf at the South Cerney Golf
Club or feed the Zurich Flying Pigs at Butts Farm rare animal
breeds farm.
